Hydroquinone (HQ), solution in demineralized water. Good general purpose oxygen
scavenger where handling concerns rule out the use of hydrazine. Hydroquinone is
an organic material and will place a demand on condensate polishers. |
BWT-1200
|
Carbohydrazide solution in demineralized water. Good general purpose oxygen scavenger
where handling concerns rule out the use of hydrazine. Carbohydrazide decoposes
to hydrazine and carbon dioxide under boiler conditions. Can lower boiler water/condensate
pH. |
BWT-1300
|
Sodium sulfite and sodium bisulfite solutions, also available catalyzed. Workhorse
oxygen scavenger for boilers in the 0-600 psig range. Excellent economical oxygen
control.

Hydrazine solutions, in demineralized water. Mainstay oxygen scavenger/metal passivator
for high pressure systems, 600 psig and up. Also available in a catalyzed version. |

for systems where suspended or dissolved solids are a problem. Polymeric dispersants
allow for good results using poor quality makeup waters. |
CC-1400

Flagship program for closed systems. Molybdate/Nitrite/Azole programs control mild
steel and copper alloy corrosion. Excellent control in aerated or anaerobic conditions.
Excellent choice where pitting corrosion is a problem. Can be formulated with or
without azoles. |

Cooling - Biocides |
BIO-1000
|
DBNPA product. Oxidizing biocide with excellent results controlling bacteria, slime
forming bacteria, algae and fungi in cooling systems. Excellent where persistence
may be a problem. |
BIO-1100
|
Quaternary amine product. Excellent in anaerobic conditions such as closed cooling
systems. Non-corrosive. |
BIO-1200
|
Gluteraldehyde product. Wide range of effectiveness. Product of choice where systems
experiences hydrocarbon or hydrogen sulfide leaks. |
BIO-1300
|
Thiocyanate products. Another broad spectrum biocide. Applications include oilfield
produced water systems. Biological control in crude oil and refined product storage
tanks as well as fungi control in oil field drilling fluids. |
BIO-1400
|
ADBAC quaternary amine. Product of choice for control of zebra mussels and Asiatic
clams. Can be neutralized by adsorption onto bentonite clay.
|
BIO-1500
|
Isothiazolin products. Available in a 4.5% encapsulated version and a 1.5% aqueous
solution. The encapsulated form is suitable for biological and mollusk control in
once-through systems. The aqueous form is an excellent broad spectrum biocide in
cooling towers.

BIO-1600
|
Sodium Bromide 46% solution for use with chlorine or bleach to produce hypo bromous
acid. Suitable for use as a broad spectrum biological control program for systems
where water pH routinely exceeds 8.5. |
BIO-1700
|
Calcium hypochlorite tablets for use in small systems.

BIO-1800
|
Trichloro-isocyanuric acid and sodium bromide in tablet form for use in high pH
high cycle systems. Trade name TowerBrom

BIO-1900
|
Oxtylphenoxy-polyethoxy-ethanol, 97%. Excellent and low cost dispersant for oil,
grease, organics and especially for biomaterial.

Cleaning Products |
CP-1000
|
Blend of chelants (EDTA), HEDP and Polymeric dispersants designed to clean and protect
mild steel surfaces in closed, semi-closed and chilled water systems. Very effective
against calcium carbonate, iron and iron-phosphate deposits. |
CP-2000
|
Designed specifically for the cleaning of calcium carbonate scales from large heat
exchangers and utility steam condensers. Product is a blend of organic acids that
has proven to be extremely effective for the rapid removal of scale without being
corrosive to system components. Cleaning program is more cost effective than mineral
acids or mechanical cleaning. CP-2000 cleaning is also much less damaging to tube
surfaces. Environmentally safe.

Recommended for evaporative and semi-closed (evaporative condensers) cooling systems
for deposit and corrosion control where a metal-free program is desirable. Similar
to CWT-1000, but with superior control in stressed or high silica conditions. Excellent
for treated wastewater makeup applications. For use with or without pH control.
Contains TTA for mixed metallurgy systems. Available without TTA.

At FCT we carry a complete line of traditional and specialty scale inhibitors. We
utilize only proven materials from Rohm & Haas, BASF, Monsanto, DuPont, Dow,
Vulcan Materials, PPG and other major manufacturers. We can blend a product to address
any cooling water requirement from once-through systems, evaporative cooling towers,
chillers, closed cooling systems, cooling ponds, castings cooling loops and so forth.
We can compound for calcium carbonate, silica, suspended solids, biofouling, calcium
sulfate, magnesium silicate, high TDS, treated waste water makeup, alkaline conditions,
acidic conditions, high temperatures, exotic or routine metallurgies, high velocities
or low. |
CWT-4500

traced using precise molecular tags that differentiate between “available” molecules
